Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a very special day for mothers and children. In this day, children show the love for their mother. This day is celebrated for showing honor to the mother. This festival is celebrated in the world and most of the parts in the world. It is found that more 40 countries this festival is celebrated. By this celebration bonding with mother increases. This festival occurs in the month of march or May. In this day, many children buy gifts for their mother or cook some special food what their mother likes. In the United State, the festival occurs highly. According to Christian religion, this festival is called Mothering Sunday and it held a long time ago. Some people say that Mothering Sunday and Mother’s Day are the same festivals.
For the Mother’s day, there is no holiday in any country. The festival was celebrated in 1908 for the first time. This festival was celebrated as a memorial of Anna Jarvis. The program was held at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. In the USA, it was demanded to make Mother’s Day as an official holiday. By the joking the day, it is proclaimed also a “Mother-in-law’s Day”.
