Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras is also known as Shrove Tuesday and Fat Tuesday. This festival is related to Christian community and religion. The festival is held in many countries where a large number of Christian people live. This day begins with the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and sometimes after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany. For the celebration the day, they keep fasting and before keeping the fasting, they eat good and rich food. In the UK, it is known as Shrove Tuesday. They do not pray in the day but they eat only fatty food for celebrating the day.
The main theme of this festival is wearing masks and various types of costumes. They want to make them different for the day. In this day, they enjoy and perform by dancing, sports competitions, social conventions, parades, debauchery, etc. The Mardi Gras is celebrated for a whole day in many places in USA and UK. The celebration does not end until the mid-night. This festival is celebrated in Australia, Brazil, Cayman, Islands, Colombia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden etc.
