Holi

Holi is a big festival in India and it is called the color festival. This is a Hindu festival and now it is integrated with the culture. In this day, they prefer to sharing love. The Holi festival occurs for two days and it starts from the Full moon or Purnima. It is celebrated based on the Hindu calendar month of Falgun. According to the English calender, the festival is set in between the end of February and the middle of March. The first day of the Holi is called “Chhoti Holi” and next day is called Dhuleti, Rangwali Holi, Dhulandi or Dhulivandan.
Many non-Hindu joins in the celebration but according to the Muslim religion, they should not join in such party. In Asia and out of Asia, this festival is celebrated. This is a very significant festival for Hindu community. Mainly this festival is seen and celebrated in India most and then in Nepal. Some European countries celebrate the festival.
The celebration starts from the night before the Holi by the Holika bonfire. Many people gather there and people think that thus they destroy evil. They arrange a party and get together with friends, relatives, they fix broken relationship and this celebration is thanks giving for good harvest.
