How many days do you need in Zurich and Lucerne?
I think that 3-4 days are sufficient to see both towns and do one or two excursions to the mountains. We spent four nights in Lucerne in January and one in Zurich. I agree with Pore that there is no need to move to Zurich, but my husband had his heart set on it so we did.
