How many days (how long or tour) should you spend in Arches National Park? Typically 2-3 days is enough to see most of the park.
How many days do you need for Arches and Canyonlands?
You need to do Arches in the early sunrise hours and late sunset hours. Arches can be done in 1 day or split between 2 days. you could add another day to do other things. You could do a 4 hr jeep tour in Canyonlands in the AM, then PM go back into Arches.
How many days do you need in Moab?
We recommend at least 2 full days/ 3 nights for the Moab area. One day for Arches National Park and half a day to a day for Canyonlands National Park, plus the Dead Horse Point State Park. In addition, you can also take a short rafting tour, as we did. 3 days/4 nights would make your visit more relaxing. 6
Which is better Arches or Canyonlands?
We preferred Canyonlands due to the longer trails and much fewer people. But if you’re looking for shorter trails and lots of arches, Arches might be your better bet. Hiking well into the fading light of the day in Canyonlands National Park.

The number of tourists coming into Moab is insane and builds up really fast during the summer season. The masses of tourists result in long lines of stop and go traffic backing up from downtown all the way past the entrance to Arches National Park. Sometimes, it even backs up to Crescent Junction.
